How can the office design align with the brand?

Creating a strong brand coercion is becoming one of the main reasons why people are getting an office fit-out. Aligning every design element to a brand can help reinforce a company’s culture and help create a strong first impression for both employees and visiting clients. However, branding a space must be done thoughtfully.

Check out what our in-house designer, Claudio Marchese has to say:

One popular method is to include the company’s colour scheme into the design, in features such as carpets, furniture and on the walls. This helps create a theme throughout the design and helps the designers with what colours to choose when making mood boards.

Signage is also a popular way to raise brand awareness in your space. Typically, neon signs are eye-catching and help create a memorable impression. Our work with Evri, formerly Hermes, was an opportunity to use neon signs to showcase the brands values ‘Dare, Strive, Be’.

Expressing your workplace culture through your space

The definition of culture is ‘the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society’. To be able to express your culture, it is important to develop a clear and consistent expression of your company values.

How you translate that into your workplace design is unique to the organisation and down to the designer but for example, if you want to be seen as a business that cares about the environment and sustainability, then making sure that this is included in your office space helps reflect your culture and brand.

Equally, if you want to be seen as a company that looks after their employees well, and cares about their physical well-being, then making sure there is plenty of daylight in the office as well as ergonomic furniture, comfortable temperatures and plenty of breakout areas.
