Design Festival North

From the ‘design hub’ at The Castlefield Rooms to wellness talks, presentations and networking events, The Design Festival North created a chance to marvel at the latest design innovations.

Manchester, home to more creative businesses, designers and architects per square mile than any other northern city, played host to a number of leading design brands and companies between 12-14th July.

The Officeinsight team were particularly inspired by the abundance of soft, earthy tones and quality products on display.

They also enjoyed catching up with a few of their favourite supplies as well as experiencing first hand new innovation from Arte, ORAC Decor, Lintex, Neon Creations and Waxman Ceramics.

Arte wallcoverings caught the attention for its beautiful, tactile suede look 3D wallcovering, Cassetta. This design is inspired by classic coffered ceilings as used by the Romans to lighten the vaulted structures of domes and ceilings. It also positively impacts the acoustics in a room.

Ocra Decor showcased timeless designs and new 3D wallcoverings that had unlimited possibilities for walls.

Lintex is already a firm favourite of the team for its mobile, durable and design inspired writing boards.

Neon Creations displayed a range of striking lighting that helped the team tackle some misconceptions and learn more about the real facts when using neon signs.

Waxman Ceramics presented some unusual shaped architectural tiles in a muted palette range. The Meadow range particularly caught their attention.
