How do you reduce noise in an open floor plan?

In a study by Oscar Acoustics, 75% of people said excessive noise in the office prevents them from doing a good job.

This shows the huge impact that having an effective acoustic design can have on the productivity levels of staff throughout the office.

A good example of where the acoustics played a big part in the design is with the Kinesso refurbishment, at their HQ in leeds – whilst the wooden floors look beautiful, they are just perfect for soundwaves to bounce off, meaning that all aspects of the design had to be taken into consideration.

For example, where possible, acoustic products were used, including both acoustic pods and acoustic rafts. These help soak up the travelling sound and allow the staff to focus. The acoustic pods are sound proof, making them a good choice of work if you have a teams call or if you need some study time.
