Infor appointed us to transform its 13,000 sq ft office into a modern, high-performing workplace that better reflected the company’s culture and supported the needs of both employees and visiting clients. Sustainability was a key driver throughout the project, with a strong emphasis on retaining and repurposing existing furniture wherever possible to minimise waste and reduce the environmental impact of the fit out.
Alongside creating an aesthetically impressive workplace, the project sought to address several practical challenges, including improving acoustic performance, enhancing collaboration spaces, and providing a more welcoming environment for staff wellbeing and client engagement.
The brief centred on delivering a contemporary, flexible workspace that balanced functionality, sustainability and design. A primary objective was to maximise the reuse of existing furniture, carefully integrating retained pieces with new finishes and furnishings to create a cohesive, high-quality environment without unnecessary replacement.
Having experienced acoustic challenges within their previous office, Infor placed particular importance on improving sound control throughout the workplace, especially within meeting rooms where confidentiality and concentration were essential. A range of acoustic solutions were incorporated to create quieter, more comfortable spaces that support productive conversations and collaboration.
The office also required a professional client suite that would create a strong first impression and provide an inviting setting for meetings with customers and visitors. Equally important was the creation of a vibrant kitchen and breakout area where employees could relax, socialise and enjoy their lunch away from their desks.
Recognising the importance of employee wellbeing, the project also included the addition of a dedicated wellness room, providing staff with a quiet, private space to recharge, reflect or take time away from the main office environment when needed.
The project was delivered to a demanding programme with several critical milestones that had to be achieved to minimise disruption to business operations. One key requirement was the completion of the communications room within just two weeks, ensuring essential IT infrastructure remained on schedule. Through meticulous planning, close coordination with the client and supply chain, and careful management of each phase of the programme, Officeinsight successfully met these key deadlines while maintaining quality throughout the fit out.
