What are the typical stages of an office fit-out?

Every office fit-out company will have a different structure or approach as to how they will deal with your enquiry. Here at Officeinsight, it’s our unrivalled process that sets us apart. Our simple 3D process offers our clients an all-encompassing service that takes you from initial planning and design, all the way through to construction and completion.

Using our proven Define, Design and Deliver process allows us to design and build unique workspaces for clients that value their people, placing their needs at the heart of the decision-making process. Using insights to make better informed decisions and explore new opportunities to help your business thrive.

Define Stage

The aim

  • To help you identify what success looks like why you are undertaking the project.
  • Uncover what’s the reason why? Outlining the challenge or problem the new office design is seeking to address?
  • Defining the brief

This process starts by building an in-depth understanding of both your people and your place to drive a new world of opportunities for the design and fit-out of your workspace.

How

  • Initial call
  • Site visit
  • Define workshop/s
  • Define tool
  • Data analysis

A great example of where the Define stage was fully utilised was with Love 2 Shop, where through the Define stage, we successfully managed to dig deep into the company’s DNA and explore the vision behind the project. This allowed us to design the space with their specific needs in mind which according to their feedback ‘has been a major step forward for the business in promoting our internal culture and allowing people to work productively’.

Design

The aim

  • Using insights, develop initial zoning plans and look and feel images and finishes, to bring the project to life
  • Zoning plans
  • 2D general arrangement plans
  • Compiling mood boards
  • Obtaining feedback
  • Making adjustments
  • Priced schedule of work

How

Perhaps our largest project to date, was the Hermes Head Office, now known as Evri, in Leeds is where our design team really outshined. The design gave a clear connection between the office and the brand with bespoke joinery and lighting, for example the lights in the reception area actually highlight the journey of the Hermes postal van, emphasising the relationship between Hermes and its customers. Bespoke signage up the staircase re-instate Hermes values whilst creating the ‘WOW’ factor upon entry into the reception area. The meeting spaces are equipped with the best technology to enable a hybrid working experience with colleagues based outside the office. The working areas are bright and spacious, with plenty of touchdown spaces included.

Deliver

The aim:

  • Single point of contact across the entire project to deliver the fit-out of your workspace as efficient and seamless as possible
  • Experienced dedicated project manager
  • Excellent communication and processes
  • Enhanced support service

How:

The Officeinsight team successfully delivered the Maple project within 4 weeks, which included bespoke lighting and joinery installations, such as the careful use of the vibrant colour palette and the large-scale furniture installed in the space.
